MINUTES

Representative Mariani, Chair of the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 12:52 P.M. on January 22nd, 2019, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 12:54 P.M.

Representative Considine made a motion to amend the meeting minutes to remove “first “from the first paragraph and “Chair Mariani began this meeting at 12:50 P.M.” THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Considine moved that the minutes, as amended, for the January 17th, 2019 meeting be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Mariani provided an overview of the committee rules and procedures.

Nathaniel J. Reitz, Executive Director of the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines Commission.

Overview of the State of Probation in Minnesota.

Presenting the overview:
Kelly Mitchell, Executive Director Robina Institute of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:20 P.M.
