Representative Rob Ecklund, Chair of the Veterans and Military Affairs Finance & Policy Division, called the first meeting to order 2:31 P.M. on January 22nd in State Office Building meeting room 5.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 2:31 P.M.

Chair Ecklund motions to approve the minutes and Representative Becker- Finn seconded the motion.

January 15th committee minutes are approved.

Benjamin Johnson, Legislative Director for the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, gave presentation of MDVA overview and an update on a new state veteran’s home.

Don Kerr, Executive Director MDVA, addresses committee and gives presentation on Minnesota National Guard.

Chair Ecklund adjourns the meeting at 4pm.
