CAPITAL INVESTMENT COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Fue Lee, Chair of the Capital Investment Committee, called the remote meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on February 4, 2021, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services, Facebook Live, and YouTube live streaming.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Murphy moved to approve the minutes from February 2, 2021. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

-Anne Hunt, Director of the Office of Enterprise Sustainability, Minnesota Department of Administration

The committee heard from testifiers on racial equity and climate impact.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 A.M.

Public Testimony (30 minutes)

The last 30 minutes of the 2/4 hearing is for public testimony related to the Capital Investment equity and energy/climate hearings held during the previous two weeks. Each testifier will be allotted two minutes and should sign up by 9:00 am on Wednesday, February 3, by emailing jenny.nash@house.mn and joe.lenczewski@house.mn with your name, phone number and email address. We ask that organizations, please limit testimony to one person.

Written testimony: Written testimony will be accepted by emailing jenny.nash@house.mn and joe.lenczewski@house.mn by 9:00 am on Wednesday, February 3. Written testimony is entered into the committee’s record, shared with committee members, and posted to the committee’s webpage.
