CLIMATE AND ENERGY FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Jamie Long, Chair of the Committee on Climate and Energy Finance and Policy, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30 AM on March 26th, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Long presented HF 2109, A bill for an act relating to energy; appropriating money to install solar photovoltaic devices on state-owned buildings.

Representative Long moved that HF 2109 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Boe presented HF 2234, A bill for an act relating to electric vehicles; requiring installation of electric vehicle charging stations at county government centers; appropriating money.

Representative Boe moved that HF 2234 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Boe moved the HF2234A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative offered an oral amendment to HF 2234 as follows: Page 2, Line 14, delete “natural resources,” and insert “commerce,” THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Representative Lislegard presented House Research BE086, A bill for an act relating to state purchasing; requiring the reporting of the global warming impacts of certain construction materials used in state buildings; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 16B.

Representative Long moved that HF 1486 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.
