CLIMATE AND ENERGY FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Jamie Long, Chair of the Committee on Climate and Energy Finance and Policy, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30 AM on March 15th, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Vice Chair Acomb moved that the minutes of March 1st, 3rd, 8th, and 10th, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Vang presented HF 2200, a bill for an act relating to climate change; establishing grant program to provide financial assistance to cities to address climate change; appropriating money.

Representative Long moved that HF 2200 be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Long moved the A22 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Long renewed his motion that HF 2200, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Stephenson presented HF 4180, a bill for an act relating to energy; appropriating money for a solar array at the National Sports Center.

Representative Stephenson moved that HF 4180 be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Stephenson moved the A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Stephenson renewed his motion that HF 4180, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Swedzinski presented HF 3921, a bill for an act relating to energy; appropriating money for a grant to repair the Granite Falls hydroelectric generating facility.

Representative Swedzinki moved that HF 3921 be laid over for possible inclusion.
