STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE & ELECTIONS COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Michael V. Nelson, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual State Government Finance & Elections Committee meeting to order at 8:31 AM, February 11, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Elkins moved that the minutes for February 10, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Bahner moved that HF607 be laid over for future consideration.

Representative Bahner moved Amendment H607A3. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Bahner presented HF607, as amended, automatic voter registration system provided.

The following testified on HF607 as amended:
Secretary of State Steve Simon

Chair Nelson renewed the motion that HF607, as amended, be laid over for future consideration.

Chair Nelson moved that HF3024 be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Boldon presented HF3024, eligible voters authorized to automatically receive absentee ballot prior to each election.
