LOCAL GOVERNMENT DIVISION MINUTES

Representative Sandra Masin, Chair of the Division on Local Government, called the virtual meeting to order at 8:30 AM on March 3, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

Vice Chair Elkins moved that the minutes from February 24, 2021 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Masin moved that HF 702 be re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance and Elections.

Representative Becker-Finn presented HF 702, a bill for an act relating to local government; allowing cities and towns to require additional licensing for hotels.

Testifying on HF 702:

• Chief of Police Erika Scheider, City of Roseville

Chair Masin renewed the motion that HF 702 be re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance and Elections.

Representative Freiberg presented HF 1359, a bill for an act relating to local government; authorizing towns and certain political subdivisions to establish inflow and infiltration prevention programs and make loans or grants to property owners.

Representative Boldon presented HF 1350, a bill for an act relating to municipal planning; providing authority for cities of the first class to impose ordinances on the dedication of land or dedication fees on certain permit applications.

Representative Boldon moved the H1350A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
