COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Connie Bernardy, Chair of the Higher Education Finance and Policy Division, called the virtual committee meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Mekeland moved to approve the minutes from January 27, 2021. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The Office of Higher Education presented an overview of the state grant program.

The Minnesota Private College Council presented and overview of their legislative priorities.

Presenters:
Paul Cerkvenik, President of the Minnesota Private College Council
Becky Bergman, President, Gustavus Adolphus College
Barbara McDonald, President, College of St. Scholastica
Fayneese Miller, President, Hamline University

The meeting adjourned at 4:17 PM.
