FINANCE & POLICY MINUTES

Representative Connie Bernardy, Chair of the Committee on Higher Education Finance and Policy, called the virtual meeting to order at 3:00 PM on March 29, 2022, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Sandstede moved that the minutes of March 23, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4415 (Wolgamott); Allied health technician scholarship program established, report required, and money appropriated.

Representative Bernardy moved that HF 4415 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Bernardy moved the H4415A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testifying on HF 4415:
-Danny Ackert, Director of State Government Relations, Minnesota Hospital Association

Representative Bernardy renewed the motion that HF 4415 as amended be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF 3552 (Koegel); Hennepin County Medical Center addiction medicine graduate medical education fellowship program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Bernardy moved that HF 3552 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Bernardy renewed the motion that HF 3552 be laid over for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.

HF 4473 (Hanson); MN Reconnect Program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Bernardy moved that HF 4473 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Bernardy renewed the motion that HF 4473 be laid over for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.

HF 4539 (Keeler); University of Minnesota green training program created, special revenue fund new account established, report required, and money appropriated.

Representative Bernardy moved that HF 4539 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Bernardy renewed the motion that HF 4539 be laid over for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.
