JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW MINUTES

Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the virtual meeting to order at 8:30 AM on February 3, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Grossell moved that the minutes of February 1, 2022 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

State Court Administrator Jeff Shorba presented an update on the Judicial Branch.

Representative Hollins moved that HF 1315 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Agbaje presented HF 1315, a bill for an act relating to human rights; adding a definition of race to the Minnesota Human Rights Act; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 363A.03, by adding a subdivision.
