MINUTES

Representative Paul Marquart, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual Tax Committee meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Lislegard moved the approval of the March 10, 2021 minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Marquart referred bills to the Property Tax Division by memo of March 15, 2021.

HF 1373 (Frazier) Minnesota education credit allowed expenses and income limits increased.

Representative Moran moved that HF 1373 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Moran moved the H1373A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Frazier presented the bill.

Representative Keeler presented support for the bill.

HF 1401 (Becker-Finn) Dependent care credit amount increased.

Representative Schultz moved that HF 1401 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Becker-Finn presented the bill.

Representative Youakim moved that HF 1816 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative McDonald moved the H1816A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn presented the bill.

Representative Robbins moved the H0277A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
