MINUTES

Representative Paul Marquart, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual Tax Committee meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Lislegard moved the approval of the March 16, 2021 minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 572 (Morrison) Tobacco use prevention and cessation account established, revenue dedicated, and money appropriated.

Representative Youakim moved that HF 572 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Morrison presented the bill.

Representative Youakim renewed her motion that HF 572 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF 998 (Schultz) Workforce and affordable homeownership development program; qualified entities to participate and funding types expanded, workforce and affordable homeownership account created in housing development fund, and money appropriated.

Representative Schultz moved that HF 998 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Schultz moved the H0998A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Schultz renewed her motion that HF 998, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF 1791 (Gomez) Local homeless prevention aid established, and money appropriated.

Representative Gomez moved that HF 1791 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Gomez moved the H1791A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Gomez renewed her motion that HF 1791, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF 1914 (Youakim) Counties provided grants for relief to local businesses, and money appropriated.

Representative Youakim moved that HF 1914 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Youakim moved the H1914A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
