MINUTES


Representative Frank Hornstein, Chair of the Transportation Finance and Policy Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30am on March 25, 2022, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Petersburg moved that the March 24 minutes be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF4242 (Long) - Speed safety camera pilot program, petty misdemeanor penalty imposed, reports required, and money appropriated.

Chair Hornstein moved to lay over HF 4242 for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Chair Hornstein moved that the H4242A1 amendment be adopted. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Long gave an overview of HF 4242, as amended.

HF2295 (Bernardy) - Work zone safety pilot program established, report required, and money appropriated.

Chair Hornstein moved to lay over HF 2295 for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Chair Hornstein moved that the H2295DE2 amendment be adopted. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Hornstein moved to incorporate the oral amendment, “Page 5, lines 22, 25, and 31, delete "2025" and insert "2026". THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Rep. Bernardy gave an overview of HF 2295, as amended.

Chair Hornstein moved to adopt the H2994A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Bernardy gave an overview of HF 2994, as amended.
