AGRICULTURE FINANCE & POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Samantha Vang, Chair of the Committee on Agricultural Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM on February 28, 2023 in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Rehm moved to adopt the February 21, 2023 minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1492 (Klevorn); University of Minnesota; Forever Green Initiative funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Vang moved that HF 1492 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Klevorn presented HF 1492.

Representative Vang renewed the motion that HF 1492 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF 1645 (Brand); Continuous living cover crops and cropping systems funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Vang moved that HF 1645 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Pursell moved that HF 1314 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Pursell moved that HF 1316 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Pursell presented HF 1316.

Representative Pursell moved the A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
