CAPITAL INVESTMENT COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Fue Lee, Chair of the Capital Investment Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:09 pm on February 20, 2023 in Room 120 of the Minnesota State Capitol. The meeting was broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Vice Chair Reyer moved that the minutes from the February 15, 2023 meeting be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Reyer assumed the gavel at 1:11 pm

HF 669 (F. Lee); Safe routes to school grant program funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Chair Lee moved that HF 669 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Chair Lee moved to adopt the A23-0021 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Lee moved to adopt the A3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Lee presented HF 669, as amended.

Chair Lee renewed the motion that HF 669, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 670 (F. Lee); Library construction grant program funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Chair Lee moved that HF 670 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Chair Lee moved to adopt the A23-0022 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Lee moved to the adopt the A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Lee presented HF 670, as amended.

Chair Lee renewed the motion that HF 670, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1531 (F. Lee); East Grand Forks; Minnesota Department of Agriculture potato inspection facility capital improvement funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Chair Lee moved that HF 1531 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Chair Lee presented HF 1531.

Chair Lee renewed the motion that HF 1531 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1539 (F. Lee) Metropolitan regional parks and trails funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Chair Lee moved that HF 1539 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
