CLIMATE AND ENERGY FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Patty Acomb, Chair of the Committee on Climate and Energy Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM on March 21, 2023 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kraft moved that the minutes from March 15, 2023 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2620 (Pursell); Distribution system upgrades funding provided to interconnect distributed energy projects, and money appropriated.

Chair Acomb moved that HF 2620 be laid over.

Chair Acomb moved the DE1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED; THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Pursell presented HF 2620 as amended.

HF 2336 (Greenman); Minnesota Climate Innovation Finance Authority established to provide financing and leverage private investment for clean energy and other projects, report required, and money appropriated.

Chair Acomb moved that HF 2336 be re-referred to the Committee on Labor and Industry Finance and Policy.

Representative Greenman presented HF 2336.

HF 2892 (Hemmingsen-Jaeger); Solar energy production incentive program extended, energy storage incentive program established, and money appropriated.

Representative Hemmingsen-Jaeger moved that HF 2892 be laid over.

Representative Hemmingsen-Jaeger moved the A3 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED; THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hemmingsen-Jaeger presented HF 2892 as amended.
