HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES NINETY-THIRD SESSION

COMMERCE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Zack Stephenson, Chair of the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM on April 11th, 2023 in Room 10 of the State Office Building. It was broadcast via House Public Information Services.

A quorum was present.

Chair Stephenson moved approval of the minutes from March 29, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2 (Richardson); Paid family, pregnancy, bonding, and applicant's serious medical condition benefits provided; employment leaves regulated and required; data classified; rulemaking authorized; and money appropriated.

Chair Stephenson moved that HF2 be recommended to be referred to the Workforce Development Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Stephenson moved the H0002A33 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Frazier presented HF2, as amended.

Representative O’Driscoll moved the H0002A32 amendment. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL.

Representative O’Driscoll moved the H0002A36 amendment. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL.

Chair Stephenson renewed the motion that HF2, as amended, be recommended to be referred to the Workforce Development Finance and Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:10 PM.
