COMMERCE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Zack Stephenson, Chair of the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:59 P.M. on March 11, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Vice-Chair Kotyza-Witthuhn moved to approve the minutes from March 6, 2024.

Representative Niska noted a mistake in the minutes.

Representative Niska moved that the minutes of March 6 be adopted as corrected by staff. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4347 (Norris); Coerced debt governing provisions modified.

Chair Stephenson moved that HF4347 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Representative Norris presented HF4347.

Chair Stephenson moved the DE5 amendment.

Chair Stephenson moved the A1 amendment to the DE5 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Stephenson moved the underlying DE5 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT, AS AMENDED, WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Moller presented HF1989 as amended.
