COMMERCE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn, Chair of the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:01PM on February 13, 2023 in Room 10 of the State Office Building. It was broadcast via House Public Information Services.

Representative Freiberg moved approval of the minutes from February 8, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF348 (Howard); Prescription drugs and related medical supplies prescribed to treat a chronic disease co-payments limited.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn moved that HF348 be recommended to be referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn moved the HF348DE1 (Howard) amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn renewed the motion that HF348 be recommended to be referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF293 (Elkins); Medical and dental practices required to make available to the public their current standard charges, and commissioner of health authorized to establish a price comparison tool for items and services offered by medical and dental practices.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn moved that HF293 be recommended to be referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn moved the HF293A1 (Elkins) amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
