ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FINANCE & POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Jessica Hanson, Vice-Chair of the Committee on Economic Development Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:37 AM on March 22, 2023 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn moved that the minutes from the committee on March 22, 2023 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1922 (Hassan) Explore Minnesota Tourism Council membership modified.

Chair Hassan moved to re-refer HF 1922 to the General Register.

Chair Hassan moved the H1922A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Hassan presented HF 1922, as amended.

HF 2590 (Hassan) Funding provided for business loans, technical assistance, and capacity building to nonprofits serving African immigrant community; and money appropriated.

Chair Hassan moved HF 2590 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Committee omnibus bill.
