MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:39 A.M. on February 15, 2024 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Quam moved that the minutes of April 4, 2023, April 24, 2023 and December 1, 2023 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3578 (Bahner) Prior authorization and coverage of health care services requirements modified, ground for disciplinary action against physicians modified, reports to the commissioner of commerce and the legislature required, data classified, and rulemaking authorized.

Representative Bahner moved that HF3578 be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce Finance and Policy.

Representative Bahner moved the H3578A2-1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Bahner presented her bill as amended.

Representative Nadeau moved the H3578A1 Amendment. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL AND THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Representative Bahner renewed her motion that HF3578, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce Finance and Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

At 11:48 A.M. Vice Chair Bierman assumed the gavel.

HF3443 (Liebling) Release of patient health records requirements modified.

Chair Liebling moved that H3443 be re-referred to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law.

Chair Liebling moved the H3443A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Liebling presented her bill as amended.
