HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Mohamud Noor, Chair of the Committee on Human Services Finance, called the meeting to order at 1:02 PM on March 2, 2023 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Fischer moved that the minutes of February 28, 2023, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 135 (Feist); Hennepin County; persons experiencing homelessness funding provided, and money appropriated

Chair Noor moved that HF 135 be re-referred to the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Feist presented HF 135.

Testifying on HF 135:

Chair Noor renewed the motion that HF 135 be re-referred to the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Noor moved that HF 1686 be re-referred to the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Hicks moved that HF 2138 be re-referred to Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Hicks renewed the motion that HF 2138 be re-referred to the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 908 (Agbaje); Nursing Home Workforce Standards Board established, duties of board established, nursing home workers training required, retaliation against nursing home workers prohibited, enforcement provided, rulemaking authorized, and nursing home worker civil action authorized.
Chair Noor moved that HF 908 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Chair Noor moved the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
