EDUCATION FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Cheryl Youakim, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:32 AM on March 22, 2023, in Room 120 of the Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistance noted the roll.

Representative Jordan moved that the minutes from March 21st, 2023, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2042 (Pursell) Career and technical education consortium grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Pursell moved HF 2042 before the committee.

Representative Pursell moved the A1 amendment. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Representative Pursell presented HF 2042 as amended.

Representative Rehm moved HF 2214 before the committee.

Representative Frazier presented HF 2696.

Representative Greenman moved HF 2696 before the committee.

Representative Greenman presented HF 2696.

HF 2131 (Hicks) Alliance of Chicanos, Hispanics, and Latin Americans (ACHLA) funding provided for English language learners programming, and money appropriated.

Representative Pryor moved HF 2131 before the committee.

HF 2398 (Acomb) Schools required to maintain supply of opiate antagonist, provisions modified for opiate antagonist administration in schools, and money appropriated.

Representative Pryor moved HF 2398 before the committee.

Representative Pryor moved the A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Acomb presented HF 2398 as amended.
