LEGACY FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Leon Lillie, Chair of the Committee on Legacy Finance, called the meeting to order at 10:37 AM on March 1, 2023, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Vice-Chair Hussein moved that the minutes from February 8, 2023 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1281 (Jordan) Wilderness program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Lillie moved that HF 1281 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Legacy Finance Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Jordan presented HF 1281.

Chair Lillie moved that HF 857 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Legacy Finance Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Olson presented HF 857.

Chair Lillie renewed the motion that HF 857 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Legacy Finance Committee omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF 1657 (Olson) appropriating money for Lake Superior Zoological Society.

Chair Lillie moved that HF 1657 be laid over for possible inclusion in future Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Olson presented HF 1657.

• Lizzy Larson, Director of Animal Management, Lake Superior Zoo

Chair Lillie renewed the motion that HF 1657 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Legacy Finance Committee omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.
