Rules and Legislative Administration Committee Minutes

Representative Jamie Long, Chair of the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration, called the meeting to order at 8:30 am on April 17, 2024, in the State Office Building Basement Hearing Room.

A quorum was present.

Leader Demuth moved the minutes from April 16, 2024. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Hollins assumed the gavel at 8:31am.

Vice Chair Hollins moved HF4984 to be placed on the General Register.

Vice Chair Hollins moved the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Testifiers
• Samuel Freedman, Professor at Columbia University and Author.
• Dr. Josie Johnson, Educator, Public Servant, Former Regent, and Author.

Vice Chair Hollins renewed the motion to for HF4984, as amended, to be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting adjourned at 8:49am am.
