Representative Klevorn, Chair of the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:31 P.M. on Thursday, February 16, 2023, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Huot moved to approve the minutes from Tuesday, February 14, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1213 (Acomb); Political Subdivision compensation limit repealed.

Representative Huot moved to reconsider HF1213. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Huot moved that HF1213 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF626 (Becker-Finn); Cities and towns allowed to require additional licensing for hotels.

Chair Klevorn moved that HF 626 be re-referred to the General Register.

Chair Klevorn moved to adopt the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Becker-Finn presented HF626, as amended.

Chair Klevorn renewed the motion that HF626, as amended, be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF288 (Nelson); Commissioner of management and budget directed to make a determination on use of general reserve account in connection with refunding or prepayment of stadium appropriation bonds.

Representative Nash moved that HF288 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State and Local Government Finance and Policy omnibus bill.

Representative Nelson presented HF288.

HF734 (Hansen, R); Cities required to allow native landscapes on private land, and vegetation overgrowth prohibited within cities.

Representative Hansen moved that HF734 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Hansen presented HF734.
