PROPERTY TAX DIVISION MINUTES

Representative Dave Lislegard, Chair of the Division on Property Tax, called the meeting to order at 11:00 AM on March 8, 2023 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

HF 1871 (Olson, L.) Duluth; property tax provisions modified, and tax increment financing district provisions modified and authorized.

Chair Lislegard moved that HF 1871 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division omnibus bill.

Representative Olson presented HF 1871.

Chair Lislegard renewed the motion that HF 1871 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF 2412 (Olson, L.) Duluth; tax increment financing districts authorized under special rules.

Chair Lislegard moved that HF 2412 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division omnibus bill.

Chair Lislegard moved the H2412A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Olson presented HF 2412 as amended.

Chair Lislegard renewed the motion that HF 2412 as amended be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division omnibus bill. The bill as amended was laid over.

HF 2382 (Olson, L.) Duluth; city allowed to extend tourism tax to fund additional capital improvements.

Chair Lislegard moved that HF 2382 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division omnibus bill.

Chair Lislegard moved that HF 1049 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division omnibus bill.

HF 335 (J. Hanson) Savage; tax increment financing provisions modified, and tax increment financing district special rules amended.

Chair Lislegard moved that HF 335 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division omnibus bill.

Chair Lislegard moved the H0335A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hanson presented HF 335 as amended.

Chair Lislegard renewed the motion that HF 335 as amended be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division omnibus bill. The bill as amended was laid over.

HF 1768 (Coulter) Bloomington; special TIF authority modified for Central Station district.

Representative Coulter moved that HF 1768 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division omnibus bill.
