MINUTES

Representative Frank Hornstein, Chair of the Transportation Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:31 A.M., on January 10, 2023 in Room 120 of the Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Hornstein moved that the minutes of January 5, 2023 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4 (Gomez) Relating to transportation; modifying requirements for a noncompliant driver's license or Minnesota identification card and making related changes, including on eligibility, proof of lawful presence, primary and secondary documentation, and data practices; making technical changes; appropriating money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2022, sections 13.6905, by adding a subdivision; 171.04, subdivision 5; 171.06, subdivision 3, by adding subdivisions; 171.07, subdivisions 1, 3; 171.12, subdivisions 7a, 9, by adding a subdivision; repealing Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 171.015, subdivision 7.

Vice-Chair Tabke moved that HF 4 be referred to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law.

Chair Hornstein moved the H0004A8 amendment. In order to wait for a fiscal note, the Chair moved on to the H0004A10 amendment.

Chair Hornstein moved the H0004A10 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Gomez presented HF 4, as amended.
