Representative Frank Hornstein, Chair of the Transportation Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 08:30 A.M., on March 21, 2023, in Room 120 of the Capitol Building

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Petersburg moved the minutes of March 17, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1012 (Petersburg) State general sales tax revenue allocation related to motor vehicle repair and replacement parts modified, and sales tax revenue dedicated to small cities assistance account.

Representative Petersburg moved that HF1012 be laid over for possible inclusion in a Transportation Finance and Policy omnibus bill.

Representative Petersburg presented HF1012.

Representative Petersburg renewed the motion that HF1012 be laid over for possible inclusion in a Transportation Finance and Policy omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

Vice-Chair Tabke assumed the gavel.

HF2700 (Hornstein) Transit service funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Hornstein moved that HF2700 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Transportation Finance and Policy omnibus bill.

Chair Hornstein moved the A2 amendment to HF2700. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Hornstein presented HF2700, as amended.

Chair Hornstein renewed the motion that HF2700, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Transportation Finance and Policy Omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF1992 (Hornstein) Transportation purposed funding provided, including Department of Transportation, Department of Public Safety, and Metropolitan Council activities; transportation policy changes made; noncompliant driver’s license and Minnesota identification card requirements modified, including on eligibility, proof of lawful presence, primary and secondary documentation, and data practices; technical changes made; reports required; bonds issued; and money appropriated.

Chair Hornstein moved that HF1992 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Transportation Finance and Policy omnibus bill.

Chair Hornstein presented HF1992.

Chair Hornstein moved the A1 amendment.

Chair Hornstein withdrew the A1 amendment.
