AGRICULTURE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Rick Hansen, Co-Chair of the Committee on Agriculture Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 1:00 P.M., on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in Room G3 of the Minnesota State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Co-Chair Anderson moved to approve the minutes from March 9, 2026. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3718 (Anderson, P.H.); Provisions relating to the practice of veterinary medicine and veterinary technology modified.

Co-Chair Anderson moved that HF 3718, as amended, be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3965 (Tabke); Sale and use of paraquat dichloride prohibited, commissioner required to collect and dispose of paraquat dichloride, and report required.

Co-Chair Hansen moved that HF 3965 be laid over for possible inclusion.

HF 3704 (Pursell); Sale and distribution of certain seeds coated or treated with systemic insecticides without the approval of the commissioner of agriculture, and application or treatment of ornamental outdoor plants and turf with neonicotinoid insecticides prohibited.

Representative Hansen moved that HF 3704 be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Frederick moved the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
