CHILDREN AND FAMILIES FINANCE POLICY MEETING MINUTES

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn, Co-Chair of the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:02 PM on April 8, 2026 in Room 123 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Nelson moved that the minutes of March 25, 2025 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

• Ashley Reisenauer, Chief Financial Officer, Department of Children Youth and Families
• Bharti Wahi, Assistant Commissioner, Early Childhood Administration, Department of Children Youth and Families.

Presentation on HF4525 (Hicks) Human services background studies and variances modified, data and language for licensing laws aligned, human services licensing procedures clarified, and program integrity provisions added.

• Ari Didion, Director of Legislation and External Affairs, Office of Inspector General, Minnesota Department of Human Services

Chair Kotyza-Witthuhn adjourned the committee at 4:08pm.
