CHILDREN AND FAMILIES FINANCE POLICY MEETING MINUTES

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn, Co-Chair of the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:03 PM on April 15, 2026 in Room 123 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Nelson moved that the minutes of April 14, 2026 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4382 (Coulter) Rules governing licensed child care centers and licensed family child care modernized and encoded; and family child care, child care center works, policies, capacity, staff ratios, equipment, notifications, parent access, record keeping, supervision, facilities, health and safety, food and nutrition, and transportation requirements created.

Rep. Kotyza-Witthuhn moved that HF2929 be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Rep. Coulter moved the DE2 amendment before the committee.

Rep. Hicks moved the A4 amendment to the DE2 amendment.

Rep. Hanson requested a roll call.
