COMMERCE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Erin Koegel, Co-Chair of the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:16 AM on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Room 120 of the Capitol Building. The meeting was broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Elkins moved that the minutes from March 5, 2026, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1606 (Hanson, J.) Nudification technology access prohibited.

Representative Hanson moved that HF1606, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law.

Representative Hanson moved the H1606DE2 amendment to HF1606, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hanson and Representative Bahner presented HF1606, as amended.

Representative Hanson renewed the motion that HF1606, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3733 (Carroll) Recreational camping area owners prohibited from charging fees associated with use of utility services.

Co-Chair Koegel moved that HF3733 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Carroll presented HF3733.

Co-Chair Koegel renewed the motion that HF3733 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Elkins assumed the gavel at 8:45 AM.

HF4071 (Koegel) Various provisions governing securities broker-dealers and broker-dealers’ agents modified, penalties provided, and administrative rulemaking authorized.

Co-Chair Koegel moved that HF4071 be laid over.

Co-Chair Koegel presented HF4071.
