EDUCATION POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Sydney Jordan, Chair of the Committee on Education Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:01 PM on, Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in Room G23 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Falconer moved that the minutes from March 10, 2026, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Presentation by Minnesota Department of Education – State Librarian Overview

HF 3698 (Gottfried) Certain terms in libraries' electronic book and digital audiobook license agreements or contracts prohibited.

Representative Gottfried moved that HF 3698 be re-referred to the Committee on Elections Finance and Government Operations.

Representative Gottfried presented HF 3698.

Chair Jordan presented the DE1 amendment to HF 3067.
Chair Jordan renewed the motion to adopt the DE1 amendment to HF 3067. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
