EDUCATION POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Sydney Jordan, Chair of the Committee on Education Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:02 PM on, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in Room G23 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Vice-Chair Mueller moved that the minutes from March 3, 2026, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3776 (Sencer-Mura) Screen time prohibited for children in preschool and kindergarten.

Chair Jordan moved HF 3776 before the committee.

Chair Jordan moved the A2 amendment to HF 3776.

Representative Sencer-Mura presented the A2 amendment to HF 3776.

Chair Jordan renewed the motion to adopt the A2 amendment to HF 3776. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Sencer-Mura presented HF 3776, as amended.

Representative Keeler renewed the motion to adopt the A1 amendment to HF 3585. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
