MINUTES

Representative Murphy, Co-Vice Chair of the Energy Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:02 PM, on February 26, 2026, in Room 123 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Sexton moved the minutes of February 24, 2026, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

A Retired Administrative Law Judge’s Experience with Rate Cases Presentation

Chair Swedzinski assumed the gavel at 1:21 PM.

Affordability Presentation
Presenter: Bill Glahn, Center of the American Experiment


HF 3298 (Mekeland) Reimbursement program established for underground petroleum
tank systems with pressurized single-walled steel piping.

Representative Mekeland moved that HF 3298 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Mekeland moved the H3298A3 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Mekeland renewed the motion that HF 3298, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
