ETHICS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Kelly Moller, Co-Chair of the Committee on Ethics, called the meeting to order at 4:35 PM on April 10th, 2025, in Room 123 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll

Members Present:

Alternates Present:

A quorum was present.

Representative Myers moved the minutes of March 27th, 2025, to be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The Petitioner: Representative Harry Niska gave a House District 54A Election contest presentation.

The Respondents: Representative Brad Tabke’s Lawyer, Mr. David Zoll, gave a House District 54A Election contest presentation.

The Committee questioned the Petitioner.

The Committee questioned the Respondent.

Chair Davids made a motion that the House reject the election returns and declare a vacancy for House District 54A.

Chair Davids requested a Roll Call Vote.

There being 2 AYES and 2 NAYS. THE MOTION DOES NOT PREVAIL.

Representative Klevorn made a motion that no further action be taken regarding the election returns for House District 54A.

There being 4 AYES and 0 NAYS. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

The meeting adjourned at 5:20 PM.
