Human Services Finance and Policy Committee

MINUTES

Representative Schomacker, Chair of the Human Service Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:16 AM on February 18, 2026, in Room 123 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Members excused:

Representative Gander moved the minutes of April 10, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Gillman assumed the gavel at 8:19 AM.

HF3379 (Schomacker) A bill for an act relating to human services; repealing housing stabilization services.

Chair Schomacker moved HF3379 be placed on the General Register.

Chair Noor moved to adopt the H3379A1 amendment.

Chair Schomacker moved to adopt the H3379A3 amendment to the H3379A1 amendment.

Chair Noor withdrew the H3379A1.

Chair Schomacker moved to adopt the HF3379A2. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Schomacker renewed the motion that HF3379, as amended, be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Schomacker assumed the gavel at 8:42 AM.


The following individuals presented an Implementation Update on 2025 session initiatives:

Kristy Graume-Director of State Government Relations, Department of Human Services.

Elyse Bailey-Budget Director, Department of Human Services.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 AM.
