WORKFORCE, LABOR, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Dave Pinto, Chair of the Committee on Workforce, Labor, and Economic Development Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 8:19 A.M. on, Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Room G3 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Chair Baker moved that the minutes of February 26, 2026, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2581 (Fraizer) Fortis Capital grant funding provided for a revolving loan fund, report required, and money appropriated.

Representative Fraizer moved HF 2581 before the committee.

Representative Fraizer presented HF 2581.

Chair Pinto laid over HF 2581 as amended for possible inclusion in future omnibus bill.

HF 3707 (Berg) Unemployment insurance judges and paid leave judges designated as judicial officials.

Representative Berg moved that HF 3707 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Representative Berg presented HF 3707.

Testifying on HF 3707:

• Sydney Spreck, MN Association of Professional Employees

Representative Berg renewed the motion that HF 3707 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee. THE MOTION PREVIALED.

Vice-Chair Greenman assumed the gavel at 8:45 A.M.


HF 3732 (Pinto) Different unfunded programs of the Department of Employment and Economic Development repealed, and conforming changes made.

Chair Pinto moved HF 3732 before the committee.

Chair Pinto presented HF 3732.
