MINUTES

Representative Baker, Chair of the Workforce, Labor, and Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:17 AM, on Thursday February 26th, 2026, in Room G3 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

Vice-Chair Mekeland moved the minutes of February 25th, 2025 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Presentations from the Minnesota P-20 Education Partnership, Discover Your Future, and the Department of Labor and Industry update on Registered Teacher Apprenticeship program.

HF3650 (Mueller) Student career pathways framework.

Representative Mueller moved HF3650 before the committee and recommended it be rereferred to the committee on Education Finance.

Representative Mueller moved the H3650A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF2238 (Bakeberg) Youth Skills Training programs in the trades.

Representative Bakeberg moved HF2238 before the committee.
