MINUTES

Representative Baker, Chair of the Workforce, Labor, and Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:20AM, on April 15th, 2026, in Room G3 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

Representative Mueller moved the minutes of April 14h, 2026 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4862 (Rymer) Registered teacher apprenticeship competitive grant program modified.

Chair Baker moved HF4862 before the committee.

Testifiers:

Chair Baker laid over HF4862.

HF4598 (Baker) Building code administration modified.

Vice Chair Mekeland assumed the gavel at 8:37AM.

Chair Baker moved HF4598 before the committee.

Chair Baker moved the H4598DE2 amendment.

Chair Baker moved the H4598A3 amendment to the H4598DE2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Baker moved the H4598DE2 amendment, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT AS AMENDED WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Baker moved HF4598, as amended, be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
