MINUTES

Representative McDonald, Chair of the Legacy Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15AM, on March 18th, 2026, in Room G3 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hussein moved the minutes of March 11th, 2026, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The committee heard informational testimony on appropriations from the Minnesota Humanities Center for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 and 2027.

Kevin Lindsey, Chief Executive Officer, Minnesota Humanities Center.
Tristy Auger, Director of Grants, Minnesota Humanities Center.

HF4148 (Burkel) REQUIREMENTS FOR HIRING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE LESSARD-SAMS OUTDOOR HERITAGE COUNCIL ESTABLISHED.

Representative Burkel moved HF4148 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future bill.

Representative Burkel moved the H4148A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Burkel renewed the motion HF4148 be laid over, as amended, for possible inclusion in a future bill.

Chair McDonald laid over HF4148, as amended.
