MINUTES

Representative Nash, Chair of the State Government Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order 8:15 AM, on March 17, 2026, in Room G23 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF3682 (Nash) Grantee fraud risk rating system and corresponding grants management criteria required.

Co-Chair Nash moved HF3682 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Co-Chair Nash moved to adopt the H3682A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Co-Chair Nash renewed the motion that HF3682, as amended, be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Co-Chair Nash assumed the gavel at 8:20 AM.

HF3826 (Witte) Identity theft crime; definitions modified and added, attorney general and county attorneys provided with additional subpoena authority, and statutes of limitation altered for fraud-related offenses.

Co-Chair Nash moved HF3826 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Co-Chair Nash moved HF 3990 be placed on the General Register.

HF3563 (Anderson, P.E.) Licensing boards required to take action against a license or application when a licensee or applicant is convicted of certain theft or fraud offenses.

Co-Chair Nash moved HF 3563 be placed on the General Register.

Co-Vice Chair Davis moved HF3674 be re-referred to the Energy Finance and Policy Committee.
