MINUTES

Representative Davids, Chair of the Taxes Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15 AM on February 25, 2026, in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Elkins moved the minutes from February 24, 2026 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Overview of Federal HR1 by House Research and Fiscal Staff.

HF387(Norris) Blaine; certain special tax impositions authorized.
Rep. Norris moved HF387 before the committee.
Testifying:
Tim Sander, Mayor, City of Blaine
Jason Zimmerman, Finance Director, City of Blaine

Chairman Davids laid over HF387 for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus Bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:50 AM.
