Representative Davids, Chair of the Taxes Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15 AM on March 17, 2026, in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Smith moved the minutes from March 12, 2026 be approved as corrected. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF238(Johnson) Unpaid special assessment interest accrual rate modified, refunds on interest payments required, and technical changes made.

Representative Johnson moved HF238 before the Committee.

Chair Davids laid over HF238 for possible inclusion in a Tax Omnibus Bill.



HF3381(Johnson) Nonprofit sales and use tax exemption modified to provide that certain purchases of prepared food by nonprofit organizations are exempt.

Representative Johnson moved HF3381 before the Committee.

HF1049(Reyer) School district eligibility for school library aid clarified.

Chair Davids moved HF1049 before the Committee.
