TAXES COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Aisha Gomez, Chair of the Taxes Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15 A.M. on March 12, 2026, in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Elkins moved the minutes of March 11, 2026, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4119 (Rehrauer) relating to taxation; increasing property tax refunds and renters credits by reducing co-pay percentages; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, sections 290.0693,
subdivision 3; 290A.04, subdivisions 2, 4.

Chair Gomez moved that HF4419 be laid over for possible inclusion in the 2026 Tax Bill.

Chair Gomez moved the HF4119A1 Amendment to be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Rehrauer presented HF4119 as amended.

HF3792 (Youakim) Relating to taxation; individual income; establishing a subtraction for AmeriCorps stipends and living allowances; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section
290.0132, subdivision 16.

Representative Youakim moved that HF3792 be laid over for possible inclusion in the 2026 Tax Bill.

Representative Youakim presented HF3792.

HF3959 (Huot) Relating to taxation; property tax refunds; expanding the targeting property tax
refund to cover homestead property tax increases that were greater than six percent;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 290A.04, subdivision 2h.

Representative Huot moved that HF3959 be laid over for possible inclusion in the 2026 Tax Bill.

Representative Huot presented HF3959.

Representative Howard moved that HF3919 be laid over for possible inclusion in the 2026 Tax Bill.
