MINUTES

Representative Davids, Chair of the Taxes Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15 AM on March 24, 2026 in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Norris moved the minutes from March 18, 2026 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Presentation by the Minnesota Department of Revenue on the 2026 Tax Incidence Study

HF331(ENGEN) Sales and use tax exemption provided for all school supplies.

Chair Davids moved HF331 before the Committee.

Chair Davids moved the H0331A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Engen presented his bill.

Chair Davids laid over HF331, as amended, for possible inclusion in a Tax Omnibus Bill.



HF916(Baker) Individual income and corporate franchise taxes; income subtraction provided for certain commercial loans issued by financial institutions.

Chair Davids moved HF916 before the Committee.

Chair Davids moved the H0916A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Baker presented his bill.
