TAXES COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Aisha Gomez, Chair of the Taxes Committee, called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. on April 23, 2026, in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Elkins moved the minutes of April 22, 2026 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Gomez moved that HF3873 be laid over for possible inclusion in the 2026 Taxes Bill.

Representative Momanyi-Hiltsley moved the HF3873A26-0159 amendment to be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3873, as amended, was laid over for possible inclusion in the 2026 Taxes Bill.

HF4248 (Hollins) St. Paul local sales tax extended.

Representative Gomez moved that HF4248 be laid over for possible inclusion in the 2026 Taxes Bill.

Representative Hollins moved the HF4248DE1 amendment to be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Hollins presented HF4248 as amended.

HF5055 (Gomez) Individual income, corporate franchise, sales and use, and gross receipts taxes and other various taxes and tax-related provisions modified; federal conformity provided; sustainable aviation fuel credit modified, firearms gross receipts tax imposed, social media tax imposed, and money appropriated.
