MINUTES

Representative Davids, Chair of the Taxes Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15AM on April 30, 2025, in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

Representative Elkins moved the minutes from April 29, 2026 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


SF4455 (Altendorf) Public utilities commission procedures modified, Lake City port authority powers modified, and length of terms for appointees to the Red Wing Port Authority changed.

Chair Davids moved HF4455 before the committee.

Representative Altendorf presented her bill.

Chair Davids laid over HF4455 for possible inclusion in a Tax Omnibus bill.

HF5040 (Anderson, P.E.) Tax on certain individuals and organizations convicted of and benefiting from fraud established.

Chair Davids moved HF5040 before the committee.
Chair Davids moved the H5040DE1 amendment before the committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Anderson presented her bill.

Chair Davids laid over HF5040, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus Bill.

HF5071 (Schwartz) - St. Peter local sales tax modified.

Chair Davids moved HF5071 before the committee.

Representative Schwartz presented her bill.

Chair Davids moved the H5092A1 amendment before the committee THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Igo presented his bill.
