MINUTES


Representative Tom Hackbarth, Chair of the Environment & Natural Resources Policy Committee, called the fourteenth meeting to order at 12:42 p.m. on March 10, 2005, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

12:42:31 PM Rep. Cox moved that the minutes of the Environment & Natural Resources Committee, dated March 8, 2005.

12:42:51 PM HF684 (Hackbarth) Recreational vehicle temporary permit provisions modified, refunds allowed, and critical habitat license plates availability extended

Rep. Hackbarth moved that HF684 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance.
12:43:12 PM Director of Legistative Affairs - DNR, Bob Meier, explained the bill.
12:50:38 PM Rep. Hackbarth moved an oral amendment to read as follows:

12:54:12 PM HF1605 (Hackbarth) Snowmobile state trail sticker provisions modified, trail maintenance costs payment provided, easement acquisition provided, and money appropriated

Rep. Hackbarth moved HF1605 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Agriculture, Environment & Natural Resources Finance.
12:54:35 PM Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association (MNUSA), Doug Franzen, explained the bill.
1:00:27 PM MNUSA, president, Harold Brice, testified on the bill.
1:31:29 PM Rep. Hackbarth renewed his motion that HF1605 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Agriculture, Environment & Natural Resources Finance.

Rep. McNamara moved that HF1438 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operation and Veterans Affairs.
